What are the benefits of football for children?
As well as the more obvious benefits of running around in the fresh air (great for both physical and mental health), football has lots of benefits for kids. As a team game, football can help children to understand the importance of working together towards a common goal (literally!), and more general teamwork skills, It can also help with communication, following instructions, leadership, and even empathy. Being part of a team is also a great way to foster a sense of belonging and develop friendships, and the fact that they can’t always win is great for boosting resilience too.
The cost is £10.00 PM With an initial Sign up fee of £30.00 This includes a kit.

5.00pm to 6.00pm at Waterend sports Ground ( Summer)

What should I wear?
When starting out, most children will wear trainers, a t-shirt, and either shorts or tracksuit trousers - depending on the weather, dress in whatever feels comfortable. Football kits are not required (but you can wear one if you have one). Once a kit is issued , Then this will become a requirement.
We will be playing both on grass and on an AstroTurf pitch during the winter, so having sturdy boots or trainers would be useful.
Shin pads is a Must

Can I bring my friends with me?
Yes, of course, as long as they are girls aged between 5 and 12. Please ask them to register their interest with Lucy at wildcatsBTCYFC@hotmail.com to ensure we have spaces available.

What happens if bad weather?
We will train on an all-weather pitch during the winter months. All weather training is planned unless it's really bad and a safety risk.
